Robert J. Haborak, Sr. passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 86 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy on October 30, 1935 to the late Mary (Lykosh) and Joseph Haborak, he was a Perth Amboy resident until moving to Woodbridge over 50 years ago.

A United States Navy veteran, Robert was employed with Supermarkets General in Avenel for many years; and had previously worked at Anaconda Copper Works in Perth Amboy.

He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Kain Haborak, in 2000; and son, Robert J. Haborak, Jr., in 2003.

Surviving are his children, Patrice Haborak of Woodbridge, Lisa Corrigan of Easton, PA and Peter Haborak and his partner, Suzanne Marcal, of Woodbridge; sister, Beverly Schroeck, of Colonia; grandchildren, Elizabeth Corrigan, Kevin Corrigan and his partner Lauren Benedict; Kathleen Chovanes and her husband, Michael; Bridget Kirk and her husband, Robert; and Caitlyn and Cassie Marcal; great grandchildren, Magdalene, Gabriel, Lucy and Levi; Godson, Peter Schroeck and his wife Dana; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Mr. Haborak's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
