Obituary

Robert Peter Fedison passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 77 years old.

Born in New York City on December 17, 1946 to the late Hermina and Stanley Fedison, he was raised in Carteret and has resided in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township for 52 years.

Robert was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1966 until 1968 where he earned the Good Conduct Medal, European Occupation Ribbon, NATO Forces medal, and the Marksmen Rifle Medal.

Mr. Fedison was employed as a foreman with Union Carbide Corporation in Keasbey for 20 years and then as a custodian with the Woodbridge Township Board of Education at Woodbridge Middle School before retiring in 2019.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son, Stephen Filip Fedison, in 1996; sister, Maryann Gallagher; and brother, Stanley Fedison.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Bernadette Fedison; sons, Brian Robert Fedison and his wife, Jill, of Metuchen and Eric James Fedison of Sewaren; his beloved grandsons, Brody and Benjamin Fedison; and several nieces and nephews.

He loved animals, especially all the dogs that his family had. He was most proud of his grandsons. He loved going to breakfast with them at a diner. His favorite thing was to go to see them play baseball.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 8:45 from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, May 5, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 436 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading, NJ 07064 in Mr. Fedison's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
