Robert "Bobby" Diee of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at McCarrick Care Center in Somerset surrounded by his loving family. He was 77 years old. Born in Queens, NY, he resided in Astoria, NY and Jersey City before moving to Port Reading in 1967. Mr. Diee was employed as a stockbroker for over 47 years before retiring from Wachovia Securities in New York City in 2002. He was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading and belonged to the Holy Name Society there. He was also a charter member and past president of the Port Reading First Aid Squad and belonged to Don Bosco Council 5809, Knights of Columbus in Port Reading. Mr. Diee is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Malik Diee; a daughter, Christine Faucher, and her husband, Michael, of Wilson, NC; a son, Charles R. Diee, of East Windsor; a sister, Iva Aras, of Modesto, CA; a grandson, Michael R. Faucher; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, October, 22, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 436 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading, NJ 07064.
