Robert A.
Daly
May 7, 1958 — December 7, 2025
Iselin
Robert A. Daly, beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and proud Irish-American, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 after a difficult few years, surrounded by the love and support of the people who meant the most to him – his family. Though life tested him, his heart never hardened—he remained warm, generous, and full of spirit until the end.
Born with a deep pride in his Irish heritage, he carried that spirit with him everywhere he went. He was happiest when surrounded by family—sharing stories, laughing loudly, and making sure everyone felt included. His love for those around him was steady, loyal, and unmistakable.
One of his greatest joys was being the past owner of Bobby Dee's Pub in Jersey City, a place that reflected his heart perfectly. He welcomed everyone who walked through the door, and many found not just a pub, but a community. The St. Patrick's Day celebrations he hosted were legendary—filled with music, laughter, and the unmistakable warmth he created.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his fierce loyalty, his humor, and the way he made every person feel like family. Though his final years were difficult, he faced them with courage and dignity, and he was deeply loved through it all.
He leaves behind a family who will forever miss his presence, as well as countless friends who were touched by his generosity and larger-than-life spirit.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find solace in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved parents, Bridget and Bob, whose love will guide him home. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy live on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every St. Patrick's Day celebration in his honor.
He was predeceased by his wife, Denise Daly, in 2018; and parents, Bridget and Robert J. Daly.
Surviving are his sisters, Geradette Botti and her husband, Joseph, Mary Skinner and her husband, William, and Kathleen Houlihan and her husband, Joseph; brother, James Daly and his wife, Debra; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday evening from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
