Richard L. Wilhelm passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 77 years old.

Born in Elizabeth on November 20, 1943 to the late Mary Elizabeth and Everett Wilhelm, he has resided in Woodbridge for 50 years.

Mr. Wilhelm owned and operated E. Wilhelm and Son Equipment Company in Elizabeth for many years.

He attended the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge and belonged to Lafayette Lodge No. 27, Free and Accepted Masons, Rahway.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Lora Houser Wilhelm; daughter, Jyl D'Ambrosio and her husband, Keith, of Doylestown, PA; sons, Jeffrey Wilhelm and his wife, Jodi, of Cranford and Joshua Wilhelm and his wife, Karen, of North Brunswick; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Jenna, Abigail, Luke, Madelyn, Lylah, Everett, Aaron and Kaitlyn.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Alzheimer's New Jersey (alznj.org) or the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) in Mr. Wilhelm's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
