Richard M. Kostka passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his home in Lakeland, FL. He was 73 years old.

Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, he resided in North Arlington and Vernon before moving to Lakeland, FL 20 years ago.

Mr. Kostka was employed for many years as a driver with United Parcel Service in Parsippany before retiring in 2000.

He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Kostka Bozenko; father, Peter Kostka, Sr.; brother, Peter Kostka, Jr.; and step father, John Bozenko.

Surviving are his children, Ginamarie Lugo and her husband, Victor, of Hewitt, NJ, Richard Kostka, Jr. of North Bergen and Cheyenne Kostka and her husband, Joe Lukawitz, of North Carolina; sisters, Arlene Bogdan and her husband, Stan, of Bridgewater, NJ, Dorothy Pisapia and the late Jim Pisapia, of Woodbridge, NJ and Sharon Smith and her husband, Bill, of Waretown, NJ; grandchildren, Joseph Lugo, Jade Kostka, Mikey Grove and Caleb Lukawitz; his loving great grandson, Bradley Messina; his forever friends, Lenny, Gordon and Norma, of Lakeland, FL; Aunt Floria, Uncle Junie and Uncle Carl Koneetski, of Wilkes Barre, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will also be missed by his faithful canine companion, Chrystal.

Funeral services were private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge. Entombment took place at Saint James Chapel Mausoleum, Woodbridge.
