Richard W. Bork passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 89 years old. Born in Newark, he resided there before moving to Avenel in 1960. Mr. Bork was employed as a truck driver with Armours Meats in Jersey City for 20 years. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Bork was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara DeCousie; his parents, Rose and William Bork; and two brothers, Roger and Paul Reed. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Mary Southern Bork; two daughters, Paula Grodkiewicz and her husband, Ronald, of Homosassa, FL and Penny DeSiena and her husband, Bernard, of Delray Beach, FL; a son, Richard C. Bork and his wife, Colleen, of Brick; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Monday, July, 6, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will be private at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Avenel-Colonia First Aid Squad (avenelems.org), 105 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001.
