Raymond Jensen passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 97 years old.

Born in Fords on June 22, 1925 to the late Athlanda and William Jensen, he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township.

Mr. Jensen was employed as a mechanic with Woodbridge Township Department of Public Works for 39 years before his retirement in 1986.

He served with the United States Navy during World War II as a Watertender 2 ^nd Class aboard DE-577 USS Alexander J. Luke, a destroyer escort in the Atlantic and Mediterranean Theaters of Operations for 3 years before his discharge in 1946.

Mr. Jensen was an avid golfer at many area courses.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jensen predeceased by his grandson, Conor C. Policastro, in 2014; sister, Lillian Murray; brother, Howard Jensen; and son in law, Charles J. Policastro III.

Surviving are his loving wife of 72 years, Marie Stumpf Jensen; daughter, Lynne M. McGrath and her husband, Edward, of Lincoln, DE; son, William T. Jensen and his wife, Deborah, of Edison; and grandsons, Michael L. Jensen and Evan C. Policastro.

A private service with military honors was held at his gravesite in Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (costello-greiner.com), Woodbridge.
