Ramon Antonio Colon passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerville. He was 83 years old.

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on October 10, 1940 to the late Antonia Melendez and Praxedes Colon, he has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for the past 11 years.

Mr. Colon was a self-employed truck driver.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Ramonita Santiago, in 2017.

Surviving are his daughters, Marilyn Colon and Darlene Colon; and grandchildren, Jose D. Nieves, Faith L. Ramos, Jasiel A. Nieves and Jeremy Nieves.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Family Center Christian Church, 466 West Grand Avenue, Rahway. Interment will take place on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
