Pierre R. Abry III passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 82 years old.

Born in Perth Amboy on January 23, 1940 to the late Marion and Pierre R. Abry, Jr., he was a lifelong resident of the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township.

Mr. Abry was a graduate of Woodbridge School, Class of 1958; and was employed as a union industrial painter through District Council 711 of the Painters and Allied Trades International Union out of Linden Bayway Refinery for 35 years before retiring in 2002.

He was a member of LaFayette Lodge No. 27, Free and Accepted Masons in Rahway for over 55 years; served in the United States Navy as a shopkeeper aboard the USS Massey; and was a youth softball and baseball coach for his children's teams as they were growing up.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Abry was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Palfi Abry, in 2011.

Surviving are his children, Pierre R. Abry IV and his partner, Beth Ousley, of China Grove, NC and Lori Abry and her husband, Paul Klump, of Colonia; and grandchildren, Pierre R. Abry V and Brooke Abry, of Charlotte, NC.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001.
