Philip W. Mai, III of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Born in Rahway, NJ; He was a lifelong resident of Avenel. Mr. Mai was a Graduate of The Middlesex County Vocation-Technical School in Perth Amboy. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Philip was employed as a Machinist with Dry Print Foil in Rahway for 25 years retiring in 1996. During his retirement He enjoyed his daily trips to The Dunkin Donuts on Green Street in Iselin where he followed and discussed the stock market with his buddies. He was predeceased by his parents Nancy B. Newton Mai who passed away in 1997 and Philip W. Mai, Jr. who passed away in 2004. Surviving are his sister Joyce Korner and her husband William of Avenel; two nieces Tammy Salgado, and Jennifer Revuelta; a great-niece Emma; three great-nephews Joshua, Logan, and Kaden. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Funeral services will be private.
