Philip K. Lisa of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 79 years old.

Born in New York City, he was a lifelong resident of Avenel.

He was a 1955 Graduate of Woodbridge High School; and a Master Plumber and area businessman for 55 years.

Mr. Lisa was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; and an avid gardener, growing everything from Asparagus to Zucchini.

He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick J. and Mary Kalinch Lisa.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Paterek Lisa; a son, Philip P. Lisa, and his wife, Eileen; a granddaughter, Shannon Lisa; and a sister, Patricia Pelletier.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home ( www.costello-Koyen.com ), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:45 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Clark. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
