Peter M. Zaitz of Woodbridge passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 86 years old. Born in New York City, he resided in Linden and Iselin most of his life before moving to Woodbridge 10 years ago. Mr. Zaitz was an Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was employed as a warehouse manager with Industrial Rubber in Elizabeth for 35 years before retiring in 1991. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Anna Zaitz. He was a devoted husband and loving father and pop pop surviving are his wife of 55 years, Betty Hangosky Zaitz; a daughter, Melissa Mackintosh and her husband John, Jr., of Port Reading; a son, Kenneth Zaitz, of Metuchen; and two grandchildren, John Mackintosh III and Charlotte Mackintosh. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral Home.
