Peter Tarantino "Gramps" 89 of Woodbridge, a factory worker most of his life, a handyman for everyone he knew passed away suddenly from complications of COVID-19 at JFK Medical Center in Edison NJ on April 18th, 2020.

Peter was born in Newark NJ on July 31st, 1930. A Korean War vet, Peter was drafted and proudly joined the 11th airborne paratroopers of Fort Campbell, KY. He met Anna at work and they married on July 5th, 1952. They lived and raised three children in Newark, NJ before moving to Woodbridge, NJ in 1975 until Anna's passing in 1987. Peter remained in Woodbridge and retired at 65. He went back to work at 67 and retired for good at 85 years old. He was a Jack of all trades that loved spending time with family and friends and he was an avid stamp and coin collector.

Peter is survived by his loving family - son Stephen of CA, his daughter Joanne Bielen, his granddaughters Claudice Fontaine and Jasmine Scurko her husband, Paul, and his great grandson Johnathan Graham, all of NJ. He is also survived by many relatives and friends as well as his extended family, The Napolitano's of Boston MA. Peter was predeceased by his dear wife Anna Tarantino nee Kasper, his devoted daughter Theresa Tarantino and his son in-law John Bielen.

Peter's big personality, giant heart and bad dad jokes will be sorely missed. He was loved by all who knew him and no one will ever forget the Alamo.

Due to social restrictions a small private service for immediate family only will be held at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home followed by internment at Clover Leaf Cemetery in Woodbridge NJ on Wednesday April 29th.
