Peter David Scofield passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township. He was 54 years old. Born in Schenectady, NY, he resided in Edison before moving to Colonia in 1997. Mr. Scofield was employed as an electrician through International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 456, in North Brunswick for the past 25 years. Projects he worked on include the construction of The Home Depot store in Colonia and the expansion of JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was an avid fisherman and was most happy fishing at Round Valley Reservoir and Lake Champlain, NY. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Joan Scofield. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Ellen Malyszko Scofield; a daughter, Sarah; a son, Jacob; a sister, Sheilah Scofield-Knudsen, of Salem, NY; a brother, Michael V. Scofield, of Ballston Spa, NY; his uncle and mentor, Danny Grzybowski, of Scotia, NY; and a nephew, Casey Scofield. The funeral will take place on Friday, February, 27, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Perth Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 2:00 until 4:00 and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
