Peter A. Schroeck passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. He was 80 years old.

Born in Irvington he has resided in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township for the past 54 years.

Mr. Schroeck was a graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood and a United States Army veteran. He was employed with Local 25 of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association in Carlstadt for 40 years before retiring in 2002; and was a communicant of Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church in Iselin, where served as an usher for many years at Sunday's 10:00 a.m. Mass. An avid fisherman, Peter was a member of the Raritan Bay Fishing Club in Perth Amboy.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Beverly A. Haborak Schroeck; and son, Peter M. Schroeck and his wife, Dana, of Point Pleasant.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church, Iselin. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
