Peter T. Joe passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 81 years old.

Mr. Joe was born in New York City and has lived in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township since 1970.

He was a United States Marine Corps veteran; and was employed as a steamfitter with Local Union 638 in New York City for 30 years before retiring in 1998.

Mr. Joe was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel; a 3 ^rd Degree member and former Grand Knight of Saint Andrew Council 5088, Knights of Columbus, Avenel; and 4 ^th Degree member and former Faithful Navigator of Rev. John J. Griffith General Assembly, Woodbridge Township.

He was predeceased by his wife, Alma Joan Joe, in 2003; parents, Katherine and Anthony Joe; and brothers, William Joe, John Joe and Anthony J. Joe.

Surviving are his sons, Peter J. Joe of Avenel, Thomas J. Joe and his wife, Michele, of Woodbridge and Steven J. Joe of Avenel and his girlfriend, Angie; grandchildren, Zachary, Thomas, Jr., Katherine and Emily; longtime companion, Carol Nevins, of Avenel; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (Costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated for Peter on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarrior project.org) in Mr. Joe's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
