Peter M. Ballotta passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Care One at the Highlands Nursing Center in Edison. He was 65 years old.

Born in Jersey City, he has resided in Woodbridge for the past 43 years.

Mr. Ballotta was a master locksmith and has owned and operated Avenel Locksmith since 1976.

He belonged to the Fairview Fire Department, Avenel Exempt Fireman's Association and the Master Locksmith Association; served on the Woodbridge Township Board of Education; and was an honorary member of Avenel Fire Company No. 1.

He was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Arleen Ballotta; a brother Timothy Ballotta

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Donna Linskey Ballotta; two sons, Peter Michael Ballotta and his significant other, Dawn, of Stillwater and Brian Thomas Ballotta of Woodbridge; a sister, Michelle Ballotta; and a godson Eric Hutchinson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home ( www.costello-koyen.com ), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel.
