Pauline M. Popovich passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at her son's home in Woodbridge. She was 88 years old. Born in Kulpmont, PA, she resided in Jersey City and the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township for many years before moving to Toms River 30 years ago. Mrs. Popovich was employed with Western Electric Company in Kearny for 20 years before retiring in 1976. She was a communicant of Saint Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Toms River and belonged to the Wearer's Club at Western Electric. She also enjoyed time spent with family and playing bocce ball. Mrs. Popovich was predeceased by her husband, Karol "Charlie" Popovich, in 2013; and by three brothers, John, Stephen and Michael Hisen. Surviving are a daughter, Carol Ann Rosko and her husband, George, of Bumpass, VA; a son, Michael Popovich and his wife, Eileen, of Woodbridge; five grandchildren, Keith Rosko, Jennifer Owen, Allison Turner, Katherine Popovich and Kristin Popovich; and six great grandchildren, Adrianna, Michael, Avery, Harper, Casey and Michael. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from the Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. Visitation will be on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
