Paul David Nagy, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was 79 years old.
Born in Perth Amboy on February 11, 1944 to the late Catherine and John Nagy, he has resided in Woodbridge for most of his life.
Mr. Nagy was employed as truck driver with Dauman Industries in Carteret for many years before his retirement in 2007.
He was a communicant of Saint James Catholic Church in Woodbridge.
In addition to his parents Mr. Nagy was predeceased by his son, Paul David Nagy, Jr., in 2019; and brothers, John Nagy and William Nagy.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Priscilla Szatmary Nagy; daughter, Sandra Nagy, of Woodbridge; a sister Catherine Covino and her husband Joseph of Port Reading; sisters in law, Noreen Szatmary Valdivia of Hopelawn and Betty Ann Nagy of Fords; his grandchildren Courtney, John, and Amenadiel; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Funeral Services will begin at 9:45 AM on Monday, November 13 from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers contribution to the Woodbridge Animal Shelter 195 Woodbridge Avenue, Sewaren, NJ 07077 in Mr. Nagy's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
