Paul M. Evans passed away after a long battle with Cancer and Cardiac Issues on Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was 64 years old.
Born in Perth Amboy, he was a lifelong resident of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township.
Paul was a Graduate of Colonia High School.
He served his community as a driver with the Woodbridge Department of Sanitation and later as a custodian with the Woodbridge Board of Education before retiring.
He was a lifelong communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.
Paul will always be remembered as a kind, generous and caring person. He treasured his lifelong friendships, neighbors and memories of growing up in Avenel, along with the vacations to his Uncle Jim's in East Quogue. He collected die cast cars, loved old music, boats, animals and spending time at The V.F.W.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bertrand Evans in 1984 and Jane Barbarczuk Evans in 2008.
Surviving are his sister, Margaret Giannechini, and her husband, Larry; nephews, Larry Giannechini and Pat Knise; many cousins and friends including Pat, John, and Johnny Lillie, Diane and Paul Bari, Richard and Barbara Lillie, Stanley Lillie.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel under the direction of Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, Avenel. Interment will follow in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
In lieu of flowers contributions to the Popcorn Park Zoo, P.O. Box 43, Forked River, NJ 08731 in Paul's memory would be greatly appreciated.
He will be deeply missed but not forgotten.
