Patrick Tedesco of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at The NJ Veterans Home at Menlo Park. He was 86 years old. Born in Carteret, he resided in Avenel for 50 years. Mr. Tedesco was a United States Army Veteran, serving in World War II and Korea; and was employed as a Chemical Operator at G.A.T.X. in Carteret for 36 years before retiring in 1987. He was predeceased by a son, Patrick Tedesco, Jr.; two sisters, Yolanda Mauro and Mary Tedesco; and two brothers, Vincent and John Tedesco. Mr. Tedesco is survived by two daughters, Joanne Addie and her husband, Wayne, of Avenel and Laura McGhee and her husband, Buddy, of Virginia; two sisters, Mille Abridello of Hillsborough, Mildred Lapushinsky and her husband, Stanley, of Port Reading; grandchildren, Keith and his wife Melissa Addie, Susan, Sharon, Kraig and his wife Erin Addie, Alison, Jeremy, Reanna and Desiree; and great-grandchildren, April, Jenna, Anthony, Gianna, Trinity, Autumn, Jaden, Bristol and Jaden; many nieces and nephews; and his dog Gizmo. Funeral will take place Friday 10:15 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (www.Costello-koyen.com) 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
