Patrick C.
Guarracino
July 16, 1957 — March 14, 2026
Woodbridge
Patrick C. Guarracino passed away on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 surrounded by his family at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 68 years old.
A proud Italian American, he was born on July 16, 1957 in Jersey City to the late Helen and Pasquale "Patsy" Guarracino. He grew up in Avenel, New Jersey, where his lifelong love for the outdoors began.
In 1976, while at Merrill Park, he met the love of his life, Andrea, and their meeting began a lifetime of love and partnership. They were married on September 27, 1980, and shared 45 wonderful years together.
They began their life together in Avenel before settling in Woodbridge in 1989. There they raised their family and built a home filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. He was a family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he was incredibly proud of.
A highly skilled tradesman, he worked for United States Gypsum Company for 40 years as a certified pipe welder and millwright, where he was known for incredible welding, his willingness to always teach, and for his unmatched work ethic. A true workaholic who took pride in doing things the right way, he was also the kind of handyman who could fix or build just about anything, whether plumbing, electrical or home improvements.
Outside of work, he lived life fully. He was an avid fisherman who especially loved fly fishing and tying his own flies. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to beautiful destinations including Mexico, Turks and Caicos, the Florida Keys and Miami. At home he loved grilling and barbecuing for family and friends, with dishes like chicken parmesan, pierogis and mussels and clams.
He was friendly, outgoing, and loved to talk with people. Music was always part of his life, especially classic rock, and his favorite song was "Stairway to Heaven." He was also a lifelong fan of Eric Clapton.
Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, skilled craftsman, and loyal friend. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he touched through his kindness, humor, and hard work. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In addition to his loving wife, Andrea, he is survived by his son, Anthony Guarracino and his wife, Jessica, along with their children Zelda and Enzo; daughter, Jessica Guarracino and her husband, Sam Annuzzi, along with their daughters Amelia and Abigail; and brother, John Guarracino and his daughter, Jennifer.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Funeral services will take place on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia.
