Patrick Agugliaro passed away on Monday October 3, 2022 at his home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. He was 82 years old.

Born in New York City on August, 1, 1940, he has resided in Avenel for many years.

A graduate of Woodbridge High School, Class of 1958, Mr. Agugliaro was employed as an order processer for Bristol Myers Squibb Corporation in Cranbury for 15 years before retiring in 1998.

Patrick was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel and belonged to Saint Andrew's Council 5088, Knights of Columbus. He became a member of Avenel Fire Company No. 1 in 1968 and served as Chief in 1978 and President in 1984; was a past fire commissioner for Avenel Fire District 5; and served as mutual aid coordinator, Mac 1, Woodbridge Township.

He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene Krisanits Agugliaro, in 1998; mother, Mary Mazzarella, in 2005; sister, Frances Vaselovic, in 2021; nephew, Jim Vaselovic, in 2021; and mother in law, Anna Andrahovitch, in 2000.

Surviving are his children, Anna Marie Higgins and her husband, Daniel, of Avenel, Lisa Bremer and her husband, David, of Hamilton Square, Patricia McClary and her husband, William, of Olympia, WA, Theresa Agugliaro and Joseph Filipponi of Robbinsville and Michael Agugliaro and his wife, Garda, of Seaside Heights; siblings, Rose Marie Charney and her husband, Dave, of San Ramone, CA, Lucille Haley and Gary Piscopo of Avenel, Anthony John Mazzarella and his wife, Valerie, of New Egypt and Andrew Mazzarella of Avenel; ten precious grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, who he adored; and many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, other extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday October 10, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Avenel Fire Company No. 1, 346 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001 in Mr. Agugliaro's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
