Patricia "Pat" (Galvano) Valguarnera, 72, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 16, 1953, to the late Lillian and Vincent Galvano, she resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township for most of her life.

Patricia was employed by the Woodbridge Township Board of Education Transportation Department for many years before retiring.

She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel and a member of the Saint Andrew Altar-Rosary Society as well as the Avenel Golden Circle Senior Citizens Club. Among Patricia's greatest joys were raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid baker, enjoyed spending time making crafts, and hosting game nights with her family and friends. Patricia found immense happiness in watching her family grow, surrounding herself with her closest friends, and helping others.

Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Angelo Valguarnera, Sr.; her children, Angelo Valguarnera, Jr. and his wife, Romina, Jennifer Valguarnera, David Valguarnera and his wife, Taryn; her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Lucas, Eliana, and Vincent; her brother, Philip Galvano; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 10:30AM from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home (costello-koyen.com), 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Cremation will be private. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Saint Andrew Altar-Rosary Society, 244 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ 07001, in Patricia's memory.
