Patricia Anne (Maynard) Emory, the first child of the late Paul Emil Maynard and Rita Frances (Paulin) Maynard, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 70 years old. Born on May 23, 1952 in Southbridge, MA, she attended St. Mary's Grammar School and Marianhill Central Catholic High School from which she graduated in 1970. She married Linton Adel Emory in 1974 and they lived first, in Pittsburgh, PA where her first son, Richard, was born and then in New Jersey where her sons, Matthew and Michael were born.
Her Catholic faith was important to her from a young age. She was a faithful communicant of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Her devotion to the church led her to work at the Archdiocese of Newark where she has served as a Construction Administrator since 1998 . She was a hard worker whose attention to detail and extraordinary memory suited her well to this position.
Patricia was married to the love of her life for 48 years and enjoyed reading, knitting as well as every moment she could spend with her grandson. She spent many hours attending football games at the University of New Hampshire and Lehigh University where her sons Matthew and Michael played. Patricia was devoted to her family and loved her grandson, Beau, niece, Beckie and nephew, Dan.
She lived her life in service of others, and regularly prayed for those living and deceased.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her sister, Linda Jean Maynard.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Linton Emory; sons, Richard of North Brunswick, Matthew and his wife, Meredith Moody Emory, of Lafayette, LA and their son, Beau Edward, and Michael and his spouse, James Ronald Whitney, of Palm Springs, CA; her sister, Jane Maynard and her husband, James Treyens, of Medford, OR; niece, Beckie Menten and her husband, Arash Guity, of San Francisco, CA; and nephew, Daniel Menten, of Donnelly, ID.
