Omar Garner of Edison passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates. He was 45 years old. Born in Elizabeth, NJ He resided in Linden before moving to Edison. Mr. Garner was employed as a teacher with Gymboree in Monroe for the past 2 years. He was a graduate of Westminster College and Ashford University and was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and the Celebration Singers in Cranford. He is survived by his partner Jared Staunton; his mother and step father Ruth and Lloyd Frecketon; his father Marvin Garner; four brothers Khayan (Khy), Hakeem, and Abdul Garner, and Winston Freckleton; two Sisters, Mureen Aird and Nadine Freckleton. The Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2014 11:00 am at The Linden Presbyterian Church 1506 Orchard Terrace, Linden, NJ 07036. Cremation will be private. The family will receive relatives and friend from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Cremation will be private.
