Obituary

Nunzio C. Minucci, Jr. passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was 81 years old. Born in Port Reading, he resided in Woodbridge before moving to Whiting 8 years ago. Mr. Minucci was a graduate of Saint John's University in Brooklyn and was employed as a public accountant with the firm of Albano, Leaf and Saltzman in East Orange for 25 years before retiring in 2000. He was a communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Port Reading; a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War; and a member of Father Capadana Council #6522, Knights of Columbus, Forked River and the Italian-American Club of Forked River. He was predeceased by his parents, Antoinette and Nunzio Minucci, Sr.; and a brother, John Minucci. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Arlene Pillo Minucci; a daughter, Shelly Minucci of Forked River and her fiancé, Mark Watrous; a son, David Minucci and his wife, Kimberly, of Princeton; two sisters, Margeret Rosa of Perth Amboy and Lorraine Christensen of Avenel; a brother, Anthony Minucci, of Bloomington, IN; three precious grandchildren, Diana, Olivia and Christina; and a step granddaughter, Ashleigh. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.costello-greiner.com), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue in Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation (kidney.org) 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016.
