Norman M. Christie passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his home in Woodbridge. He was 77 years old.

Born in Rahway, he was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township.

Mr. Christie was employed as a civil servant for his entire career, with the Woodbridge Police Department, Plainfield Police Department, Plainfield Fire Department and United States Postal Service.

He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and belonged to Local 469 of the Teamsters Union.

Norman was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Mitchell Christie; and a granddaughter, Katelynn Rudy.

Surviving are his daughters, Nancy Eccles of Brick, Natalie Austin of Statesville, NC and Nicole Esposito of Woodbridge; brother, Douglas Christie of Avenel; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were private under the direction of Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, Woodbridge.
