Obituary

Norma A. Doering of the Port Reading section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at home. She was 69 years old. Born in Newark; She resided in Port Reading for the past 45 years. Mrs. Doering was a Communicant of St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Port Reading, a member of The Woodbridge Elks Lodge #2116, and The Woodbridge Township Domestic Violence Response Team, and was a recipient of the Mayor's Community Service Award for her service with the Domestic Violence Response Team. She was predeceased by her Parents James and Edith Piccillo DeBenedetto; a sister Rafaella "Fay" Thorn; two brothers Nicholas DeBenedetto and Vincent DeBenedetto. She is survived by her husband Edward Doering, Jr.; a daughter Dawn Petro and her husband Darin of Port Reading; two sons Michael Doering and his wife Lisa of Lilburn, Georgia, and Edward Doering, III and his wife Melanie of Stewartsville, NJ; two sisters Edith McSorley of Iselin, and Lorraine DeBenedetto and her husband Thomas Lewis of Waretown, NJ; Eight Grandchildren Brittany, Brianna, Brielle, Brandi, Patrick, Chase, Payton, and Parker. Funeral will take place Thursday 8:45 am from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge a 9:30 am Mass of Resurrection will follow place at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Port Reading. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Woodbridge Township Domestic Violence Team, 1 Main Street, Woodbridge NJ 07095
