Nina Rizzo Lane passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2022 at her home in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township. She was 82 years old.

Born in Rahway on June 26, 1940 to the late Alphonsa and Joseph A. Rizzo, Sr., she resided in Port Reading, Woodbridge and Fords before moving to Colonia in 1993 where she resided with her daughter, Debra Goldberg, her husband, Jeffrey, and was a second mother to their children, Michael (Megan), Daniel, Jennifer and Tyler and great grandmother to Carissa and Evan.

Nina was employed as a waitress for many years at the Liberty Tavern in Fords and later as a clerk at Ar-Ex Pharmacy, also in Fords before her retirement.

She was an avid gardener with a special talent for growing flowers.

In addition to the Goldberg family, Nina is survived by her sons, Joseph J. Lane of West Melbourne, FL and Thomas Lane of Freeland, PA; daughter, Donna Tetuan, of Plant City, FL; sister, Marianne Jasper of Woodbridge; brother, Joseph Rizzo, Jr., of Afton, NY; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private.
