Neil Panariello Sr passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 87 years old.

Born on November 27, 1937 in Torre del Greco, Italy, he has resided in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township since 1973.

Mr. Panariello was employed as painter through Local 18, District 9 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades in New York City for 30 years, he was also Treasurer for the local before retiring in 2001.

He was proud to be a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and veteran; and communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading.

Mr. Panariello was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his wife and dogs at their country retreat. He was a "MacGyver" always tinkering with things that needed fixing or painting something.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann Poggioli Panariello, in 2018; and son, Neil Panariello, Jr., in 2006.

Surviving are his daughter, Lisa Simoes, of Woodbridge; son, Anthony Panariello, and granddaughters, Danielle and Natalie and her husband, Dylan.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Port Reading Interment will be in Forest Green Memorial Park, Morganville. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
