Neil D. Hutkin, a devoted United States Airforce veteran and a dedicated Operations/Finance Manager at Bell Mitsubishi in Rahway, passed away on May 2, 2026, at the New York Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. After a valiant battle with cancer, Neil was surrounded by loved ones, comfortable and at peace. Born on April 8, 1960 in the vibrant city of New York, Neil’s journey was one marked by service, perseverance and a steadfast commitment to those around him.

His career in sales allowed him to connect with countless individuals, bringing enthusiasm and integrity to every interaction. Beyond his professional life, Neil’s time in the Airforce speaks to a deeper calling—a dedication to his country that shaped the man he became.

He is survived by his loving siblings: Connell Hutkin, Blair Hutkin, Steve Alter and Amy Gilberg. As well as his long-time devoted partner Rosana Brasselle, her sister Missy, niece Hayley and her daughter Maisie. Neil was predeceased by his parents, Stanley Hutkin and Barbara Alter, whose memories undoubtedly remain etched in his heart and in the hearts of those who knew him.

A memorial gathering to honor Neil’s life will be held on May 9, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Costello-Koyen Funeral Homes,  located at 399 Avenel St, Avenel, NJ 07001. This event will provide a space for family, friends and all whose lives Neil touched to come together, share stories and celebrate the indelible impact he made.

Neil D. Hutkin’s legacy is one woven with loyalty to family, dedication to his career and an unwavering spirit of service. He leaves behind a world that was better for his presence, and though he has departed, the memories he created endure, shining with the quiet strength of a life lived fully and with purpose.
