Nanette A. Maurath of the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township passed away on Friday, Novmber 17, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 72 years old.

Born in Manhattan, NY, she has resided in Avenel for the past 52 years.

Mrs. Maurath was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel, and a member of the Altar-Rosary Society and taught CCD for many years at the Church.

She was employed as a school bus driver with the Woodbridge Township Board of Education for 35 years before retiring in 2003.

Mrs. Maurath was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Santa Randazzo; and brothers, Rudy and Joe Randazzo.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Garry Maurath; three children, Nanette "Nan" Maurath of Avenel, Douglas Maurath of Denver, CO and Suzanne Smith and her husband Kevin of Colonia; sisters, Ursula Cola of Florida and JoAnn Randazzo-McCrobie of Texas; grandchildren, Brandon, Breanne, Carissa, Nick and Abigayle.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home , 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, Avenel. Entombment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
