Nancy Marie Younger Dunham was called home to join her husband, Byron, surrounded by her family on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. She was 86 years old.

Born on February 13, 1937 to the late Marie and Nicholas Younger, she was lifelong resident of Woodbridge NJ and Tequesta, Florida.

Nancy was a graduate of Woodbridge High School class of 1954. She met her late husband Byron Dunham and spent 64 long, happy years together. They had five beautiful children and five grandchildren.

Along with her late husband Byron, Nancy owned and operated several Stewarts Root Beer stands in Central NJ and was later employed as a sales associate with AT&T for 13 years before her retirement in 1993.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Byron V. R. Dunham, Jr.; brother, Jack Younger; and sister in law, Ruth Dunham.

Surviving are her children, Lynn Dunham of Oberlin, OH; Bonnie Joel and her wife, Sharri Johnson, Tampa, FL; Glenn Dunham and his wife, Dawn, of Brick, Scott Dunham of Orwigsburg, PA and Dale Dunham and her fiancé, Sean Murphy, of Woodbridge; brother and sister in law, Bruce and Brigitte Younger, of Blairsville, GA; brother in law, Arthur Dunham; sister in law, Maryanne Younger; and grandchildren, Stephanie and her husband Maciej Maslonka, Nancy Joel, Brad Terpanick and his fiancé, Emily Cimilluca, Leah Joel, and Kaileigh Dunham.

Nancy took pride in creating a lovely home for her family, enjoyed decorating for the holidays, spending time at her Florida home, traveling, and gardening. She was a great listener who gave sound advice when asked.  Nancy will be remembered for her vibrant smile, friendly disposition, and sense of humor. She always put others before herself.  She loved spending time with her family and friends. Nancy always strived to enjoy each day as if it was her last.

Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. Entombment will be private at Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.

Nancy was an active lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbridge, 600 Rahway Avenue, Woodbridge NJ 07095 in Mrs. Dunham's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
