Myrna Castro passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 81 years old.

Born in Lajas, Puerto Rico, she has resided in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township since 1970.

Mrs. Castro was employed as a deli clerk with Shop-Rite Supermarket in Woodbridge for many years before retiring in 2018; and had previously worked with Revlon Company in Edison; and was a communicant of Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Avenel.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Castro, in 2014.

Surviving are her children, Annette Christine D'Emilio and her husband, Michael, of Rahway and Robinson Eugene Castro and his wife, Stacey, of Sewaren; brothers, Edgar Pagan of Brick and Edwin Pagan of Glen Gardner; and grandchildren, Robert Edward Castro, Michael Anthony D'Emilio, Logan Alan Castro, Paul Nicholas D'Emilio and Aidan Robinson Castro.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:45 a.m. at Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. Interment will follow in Cloverleaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) in Mrs. Castro's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
