Monserrate Osorio passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge Division.   She was 92 years old.

Born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, she resided in Brooklyn for most of her life before moving to New Jersey.

Mrs. Osorio was a communicant of Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Brooklyn.

She was predeceased by her husband, Juan Osorio, in 1996; brother and sisters, Hilda Martinez, Pancho Atiles, Aida Atiles, Carmen Atiles, Toño Atiles, and Rene Atiles.

Surviving are a daughter, Maria T. Osorio; sons, John Osorio, Louis Osorio and Michael Osorio; child of the heart, Joseph Gonzalez; brothers, Juan Atiles and Miguel Atiles, both of Puerto Rico; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
