Millicent W. Dwyer, 92, of Edison, died Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Millie was born in Washington, DC on August 12, 1929 to M/Sgt. & Mrs. W. W. Washburn. She lived in Woodbridge after her marriage and where she raised her family until retiring to Englewood, Florida in 1989.

Millie was extremely proud of her memberships in Daughters of the American Revolution, Myakka Chapter and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Mercedes 769.

Other activities included Girl Scout Leader Troop 363, St. James, Woodbridge and St. Mary's H.S., Perth Amboy PTAs serving both boards, sewing, gardening, dollar stores and flea markets.

Survivors include children Michael, JanetAnne Dwyer, Maureen Dwyer Liberti, Eileen Dwyer Cuntala, and John; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Millie was predeceased by her husband, James, Sr., of 60 years in 2008, her son, James Jr., in 2004 and brother, Bill Washburn, in 2011.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge.
