Michelle Behany of Carteret passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. She was 53 years old. Born in New Brunswick, NJ; She resided in South Brunswick before moving to Carteret seven years ago. Ms. Behany was employed as a cosmetologist with Macy's and Lancome for many years and as a companion with Home Instead Senior Care for the past 5 years. She was predceased by her mother Patricia Burekel Van Havere, and a sister Amanda Jordan. She is survived by her loving children William Behany and his wife Tiffany of Orange, California and Robert Behany of Robbinsville, NJ; her father Albert Van Havere and his wife Ellen of Fords; and a sister Margaret Van Havere of Georgia. Visiting hours will be Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at COSTELLO-GREINER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge, NJ 07095. A graveside funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076.
