Michael T. Volovich passed away peacefully, surrounded by his partner, Joli, and loving friends on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his home in the Sewaren section of Woodbridge Township. He was 89 years old.

Born in and raised in Perth Amboy, where he attended Saint Stephen's Catholic Church, he has resided in Sewaren for the past 20 years.

A kind hearted man with a great outlook on life, Mr. Volovich attended vocational school and was a cabinet maker by trade. He owned and operated Amboy Woodworking Company in Perth Amboy for many years; and was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He also was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating with friends.

Surviving is his loving companion and caretaker of 35 years, Jolan Lakatos.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 436 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading.
