Michael Strack passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at his home in Perth Amboy. He was 67 years old.

Born in South Amboy on June 24, 1956 to the late Walter and Joan Chadwick Strack, he was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy.

Mr. Strack was employed as a sheetrock installer and taper with Local District Council #711 of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades in Hammonton; was an exempt member of Washington Engine Company 2, Perth Amboy Fire Department; and belonged to Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge 1360, Perth Amboy.

Mike enjoyed many hobbies and activities in his spare time including birdwatching, cooking, working on his beloved Ford Mustang, playing softball and gardening, especially the large sunflowers he was known to grow. He also was big reader of science fiction and an avid NJ devils fan.

In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Paul Strack, in 2022.

Surviving are his longtime companion, Lisa Stanford; sister, Susan Gauthier, of Woodbridge; niece, Cayla Gauthier; nephews, Paul Steffen, Sean Strack, Sr. and Michael Gauthier; great niece, Cora Strack; and great nephews, Sean Strack, Jr. and Rocco Strack.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Costello Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge.
