Michael G. Shwailik, 65, entered into eternal rest on November 23, 2016.

He was born in Elizabeth, NJ and was a 1969 graduate of Carteret High School.

Michael worked in the food industry as a restaurant manager and later as a business owner. He resided in the Fords section of Woodbridge for 30 years and moved to Pennsylvania upon his retirement in 2008.

Playing with his grandchildren, planting flowers, watching the birds at his feeders, attending rodeos, and traveling the west were some of the ways he loved to spend his time.

Michael was predeceased by his mother Bertha (Kondrk) Shwailik who passed in 1983 and his father Michael Shwailik who passed away in 2013.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Laraine (Zullo) Shwailik; a son Charles Joseph Chiovitti of Clifton; two daughters Jaime Margolin and her husband Craig of Pennsburg, PA, and Cori Ortega and her husband Joaquin of Nutley; he will be missed by his seven grandchildren Raul, Camryn, Charlize, Avery, Charlotte, Cayden, and Bryce; his two sisters Michele Kacsur and her husband Ken of Manasquan, and Melissa Anthony and her husband John of Cranbury; a niece and six nephews.

A funeral service will take place Sunday, November 27, 2016 4:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home (www.Costello-greiner.com) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Michael's name to The Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund (www.justincowboycrisisfund.org) which lends a helping hand to professional rodeo athletes and their families in the event of serious injuries or to a local animal shelter.
