Michael R. Seifert passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 peacefully at his home in Woodbridge. He was 62 years old.

Born in Hillside, he grew up in Union where he became an Eagle Scout and has resided in Woodbridge since 1997.

Mr. Seifert has owned and operated Seifert's Town Garage in Woodbridge since 1985 where he was admired and respected by the community.

He was predeceased by his father, Ronald Seifert; sister, Darlene Miller; and brother, Dennis Seifert.

Surviving are his longtime companion, Susan Barnhart and their dog, Moose; children, Michael R. Seifert and his wife, Erin, of Philadelphia; Jamie Seifert of Charleston, SC, Eric Seifert of Salt Lake City, UT and Jordan Barret and her husband, Tanner, of Tuckerton; mother, Josephine Jupa and her husband, Donald, of Toms River; and grandchildren, Harper and Jayda.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. Cremation will be private. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday evening beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
