Michael J. Hruska passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 82 years old.

Born in Bakerton, PA, he has resided in Woodbridge since 1960.

Mr. Hruska was employed for many years as a gauger with Amerada Hess Corporation at their Perth Amboy terminal; and was a former communicant of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Perth Amboy.

He was a proud United States Navy veteran; and belonged to the Tin Can Sailors and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Hruska was predeceased by his wife, Patricia McDermott Hruska, on December 19, 2015.

Surviving are his sons, Kevin of Woodbridge, Robert and his wife, Trish, of Howell, Michael of Howell, Timothy and his wife, Diane, of Piscataway and Matthew of South Brunswick; his daughters, Mary Katherine Fedor and her husband, John, of Perth Amboy, Susan Ritz and her husband, Dennis, of Woodbridge and Patricia Montalbano and her husband, Richard, of Jackson; a sister, Marge Kristoffco, of Pennsylvania; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Fords. Inurnment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery Piscataway.
