Michael A. Alfaro passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015. He was 31 years old. Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Rahway before moving to Carteret 4 years ago. Mr. Alfaro was employed as a technician with Comcast in Fairfield for the past 10 years. He enjoyed paintball and comic book collecting; and was MMA fighter. Surviving are his wife of 4 years, Heidi Cuthbertson Alfaro; three sons, Nicholas, Luke and Mikey; his parents, Jacqueline Alfaro of Plainfield and Alberto Alfaro of Willingboro; his grandfather, Frank Albanese, of Rahway; a sister, Maria Alfaro, of Willingboro; two brothers, Alberto Alfaro of Willingboro and Arcadio Alfaro of Depew, NY; and many loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel, NJ. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alfaro family for the benefit of the children.
