Maureen Patricia "Moe" Nevins passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at her home in Elizabeth. She was 74 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, she was a lifelong resident.

Ms. Nevins was employed as an administrative secretary for the Elizabeth Board of Education at the Mitchell Building for 26 years before retiring in 2012.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Angel Louis Rivera, in 2019; parents, Francis Nevins and Mary Caffrey Nevins; brothers, Francis Nevins and William Nevins.

Surviving are her niece, Annmarie Avila; nephews, William Nevins, Frank Nevins and James Nevins; and five great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 10:00 a.m at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.costello-greiner.com ), 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge.  Interment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 in Maureen's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
