Matthew Osuch passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was 88 years old.

Born in Elizabeth on February 12, 1937 to the late Julia and Walter Osuch, he has resided in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township for 60 years.

Mr. Osuch was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1955 until 1957; belonged to T. Nulty Post 471, American Legion, Iselin; and was a communicant of Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church in Iselin.

He retired from United Counties Trust Company in Elizabeth as vice president in 1991 after 20 years.

In addition to his parents Mr. Osuch was predeceased by his wife, Arlene V. Krug Osuch, in 2018; sisters, Lottie Magelnicki and Jane Browne; and brothers, Stanley Osuch, Chester Osuch and Ronald Osuch.

Surviving are his children, Suzanne Kemper and her husband, Steven, of East Stroudsburg, PA and David Osuch and his companion, Tracey Alvarez, of Keyport; sister, Bernice Dolan, of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, John Osuch, of Flemington; grandchildren, David, Jr. and his fiancé, Ashley Ketch, Alyssa, Steven and his fiancé, Alexandra Ruddy, Julianna and Jeremy; and great grandchildren, Isabella and Henry.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 10:15 a.m. at Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church, 45 Wilus Way, Iselin, NJ 08830.

In lieu of flowers contributions to T. Nulty Post 471, American Legion, 25 Brown Avenue, Iselin, NJ 08830 in Mr. Osuch's memory would be greatly appreciated by his family.
