Maryann Short passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was 68 years old.

Born in Staten Island, NY on May 28, 1955, to the late Marilyn and Vincent Yorks, she has resided in Woodbridge for 26 years.

Maryann was employed in the purchasing department at Radiant Communications in South Plainfield for 20 years before retiring in 2011.

Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Jerry Short; sister, Susan Morgese and husband Charlie, of Woodbridge; and brothers, Jimmy Yorks and wife Diane of Hazlet and Larry Yorks and wife Alicia of Staten Island and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by lifelong friends Carol Hensch, Donna Wedick, Lourdes Biebelberg and Donna Martie with whom she enjoyed shopping and traveling.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Saint James Catholic Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Catholic Charities in Maryann's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
