Mary C. Taraska passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at her home in the Avenel section of Woodbridge Township. She was 82 years old.

Born on October 5, 1938 in Linden to the late Susan and Andrew Germek, she has resided in Avenel since 1962.

Mrs. Taraska was employed as an executive waitress; was a communicant of Holy Family Catholic Church in Linden; and belonged to the Jednota Society in Linden.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her brother, Andrew Germek.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, John Taraska, Jr.; sons, Robert Taraska of Avenel and Kenneth Taraska of Woodbridge; and grandsons, Kyle, Steven and Christopher.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 23, 2021 9:15 a.m. from Costello-Koyen Funeral Home, 399 Avenel Street, Avenel. A10:00 a.m.  Mass of Resurrection will follow at Holy Family Catholic Church, Linden. Entombment will be at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday evening from 4:00 pm. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Holy Family Church 210 Monroe Street, Linden, NJ 07036 in Mrs. Taraska's memory would be greatly appreciated by her family.
