Mary Elizabeth Shannon of Woodbridge passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at home. She was 77 years old.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ; She resided in Woodbridge since 1974.

Mrs. Shannon was a Communicant of St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Shannon who passed away in 2010; her parents Jack and Mary Mullen Menzie; and a sister Patricia Branscome.

She is survived by her children Kathleen Osiadacz and her husband Gary of Colonia and Joseph B. Shannon and his wife Monica of Edison; a sister Jackie Marze of South Carolina; a step-sister Susan Nenstiel of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren Patrick Osiadacz, Kiersten Shannon, Caitlyn Shannon, and Joseph R. Shannon.

Funeral will take place Thursday, July 13, 2017 9:45 a.m. from Costello-Greiner Funeral Home ( www.Costello-greiner.com ) 44 Green Street at Barron Avenue, Woodbridge. a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia.

Visiting hour will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
